It started with a screenshot. On Thursday, September 3, 2026, two days before the Man burned, Mr. Sparkl3z sent a picture of Burning Man's official BRC Dashboard and a wish list: make the webcast big, put BMIR next to it with a real mixer so you can fade between the radio and the playa, add a screenshot button that never catches YouTube's controls, and bring Camp Envy's Slack into the room. He built it with Claude, Anthropic's AI, working side by side through the week, one idea at a time.
By Thursday night it ran on a laptop: the webcast in a clean frame, BMIR through a crossfader, freeze-frame for the exact moment, flames that danced to the radio. By Friday it had a name and a home at burningdash.com, a passphrase for camp, reactions that float up everyone's screen at once, and the Temple: a place to leave a message for someone you carry with you, knowing it would burn with the Temple on Sunday.
Saturday was the show. Fire spinners, three sizes of fireworks, the Man lit with fire climbing the edges of the page, and the fall itself, drawn everywhere except the video so the feed was never touched. Then the silly things, because it's Burning Man: martinis, a disco ball, a unicorn stampede, a dust storm, a nuke. Sunday was quiet. Temple mode arrived at 7 pm on its own: candle gold instead of purple, one message at a time in a serif face, offerings instead of reactions. When the Temple was lit, every message glowed, lifted, and released, and each one became a star that stayed up all night.
Camp watched from Black Rock City and from couches in the default world, on phones and on an ultra-wide monitor, and every bug report came with a screenshot. Thank you for that. This site exists because a camp wanted to watch the Man fall together. The couch counts.

Made by Mr. Sparkl3z with love for YOU, with Claude. The webcast is Motorbikematt's and his volunteers'. The radio is BMIR's. The map is Matt's. The dust is everyone's.
